"Where the hell have you been, Loca?"

It’s certainly been more than a minute, but I’m back!

So where have I been?

Well, we finally followed our dreams and moved to Colorado almost 3.5 years ago and have been extremely busy. We’ve been snowboarding and rock climbing and I’ve been doing a trail race series. Michael completely changed his career path and I picked up a fun part time gig at a local running store. We got engaged and have been planning our wedding. We’ve gotten our AIRIE 1 certification for backcountry skiing and purchased split boards. We literally just purchase paddle boards and are psyched to get out on the water. We’ve been camping again - which has been great! We took a pause on that for a year or two because of how busy the campgrounds have been and honestly because of how busy we’ve been. We’ve visited new national parks and explored and found joy in the big and small moments alike.

Like I said, we’ve been busy!

On top of that, I wasn’t sure if the name Midwest Boarder was still super applicable since many don’t consider Colorado to be in the Midwest. The more I thought about it though, the less it seemed to matter. I’ve been using the name Midwest Boarder since college when I wanted to create my own little brand.

And even more than that, I love writing blogs and sharing my thoughts, ideas and experiences - even if the only person that reads them is my mom (hi, Mom!). It’s fun and it’s a great way for me to practice some creativity and joy.

So yeah, I’m back. And I can’t wait to share it all with you.

I’ll talk to you soon.

Live big.
