Social Isolation Check-In

This blog isn't deep or super informative or anything, it's just a little check in as we adjust to the new (temporary) normal. It's late March and we're starting to feel effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here in Iowa, it started out as a small thought that "it's not that bad" in the back of our minds, then suddenly all the toilet paper was sold out. Quickly many of us started to feel the weight and seriousness of what's going and we adjusted our lives as well as we could. Admittedly, I wish we'd started practicing social distancing sooner, but we started staying in and avoiding other people Monday the 16th. By the 18th, my work decided to start implementing work from home and I have hardly left the house since the 19th except to go for a walk.

So what's life look like since we started staying in? I know it's only been a week, but honestly it hasn't been too bad. I'm very lucky to get to work from home, so there's most my week. But we've been staying busy other than that!
• I'm finally pretty much caught up on laundry for the first time in forever.
• We've watched all of the Harry Potter movies and are excited to watch all the Lord of the Rings next.
• My boyfriend started editing videos from our trips over the past year.
• I've had a virtual game night with friends.
• We've done yoga and tried climbing random parts of our apartment.
• I photoshopped a bunch of me hanging out (see photo below)
And that's only been a week!

I have no idea how long we're going to have to stay in, but I'm taking this time to make some goals. Here's what I'm hoping/planning for this time:
• at least one new blog a week
• learn to do a handstand
• read 3 books
• practice photography
• learn 2 songs on the uke
• facetime my friends/family at least once a week
• drink 2 full bottles of water a day (64 oz)
• do yoga daily
• at least one full day without tv
• try on/weed through clothes
• plan some trips
• take a look at my 2020 goals

So I'm curious, what's keeping you occupied during this time? Are you trying to learn anything cool? Do you have any rad fitness videos you've found? Any cool blogs or podcasts you've been tuning into? I'd love to hear about it!
Live big.
