Trollhaugen Zip and Sip

The ultimate date night – or night out with the girls or adventure with friends. No matter who you’re going with, you’re bound to have a great time at Trollhaugen’s Zip and Sip event.

Once a month throughout the summer, Trollhaugen puts on the Zip and Sip event. They typically have it open to around 30 guests. Rather than your typical zip lining tour, this is set up buffet style. So, for the first 45 minutes or so, everyone could bounce between two lines. Then you move up the hill to 2 of the longer lines for the next 45 minutes. Once you’re tired of walking up the hill or hit the end of the 45 minute mark, everyone heads back to the lodge for dinner and to enjoy another drink (if you’d like). After dinner, you get a chance to ride the final two zip lines – which includes the 1000-foot zip. Some people just do this one once because of the trek up the hill, but you can go on it as many times as you’d like in the final 45 minutes or so. Wrap up the night by hanging out by the fire a little longer. The event started at 6 and ended at 10:30.

I had an absolute blast at zip and sip. Most the people working the zip lines were college students and super goofy – which added another fun feature to the experience. The whole time the event was going on, there were also folks from a winery giving us samples of their wines. We spent some time hanging out by the bonfire after dinner before heading back up the hill for the final 2 zip lines of the night. It was dark at this point and the full moon was shining over the trees, which was beautiful to see. With a belly full of pasta, walking up the hill in the dark over and over was a bit of a task, but we managed to hit it 3 times. It was such a fun trip being there and getting a unique zip lining experience.

Zip and Sip isn’t the only thing you can look forward to a Trollhaugen in the summertime. They have zip line tours basically every day and you can even host events there. They also have a cool aerial ropes course.

If you haven’t experienced Trollhaugen in the Summer, definitely consider giving it a shot!

Live big.
